Intellectual Health Week

This week we are talking about Intellectual Health as we continue our 8-week Whole Health Initiative series.

Intellectual wellness is the desire to learn, to improve skills, and a readiness for continuing education.

We will talk about the importance of intellectual wellness, tips on how to improve your intellectual health, and what intellectual wellness looks like in relevance to the 8 Dimensions of Wellness.

Hi friends!

Earlier in the week, we talked about the importance of our intellectual wellness, and what that means and looks like in our daily lives.

Intellectual health isn't just limited to academic or scholarly knowledge, intellectual health also entails creativity, general knowledge, and common sense. Our thoughts are influenced by each of these factors, which in turn influence our decisions.

In mental health crisis situations or situations that can turn into a crisis, our senses are often times heightened and things seem intense and scary, it can be hard during these moments to think clearly and logically, especially when it comes to decision making.

By improving our intellectual health, we are better able to think clearly, logically, and make better decisions. How are you going to improve your intellectual health today?

This week we've talked about what Intellectual Health is and how we can improve our intellectual wellness daily, but why?

Here are just a few reasons why we benefit from improving our intellectual health! Intellectual health might sound scary, we can start small by incorporating intellectual self-care into our everyday life.

After incorporating small ways to improve your intellectual health daily, you should see improvements in concentration, brain function, and memory!
