Support. Empowerment. Belonging.

We believe we are more than the status of our mental health.

Choices has been serving the Summit County area since 1992 by providing support, activities and resources to individuals living with mental health challenges.

Our Mission

To provide a peer run organization for adults recovering from mental health challenges in the Summit County area through support, empowerment and belonging.

Guiding Principles

We care about our fellow members and community. We encourage everyone to participate and stay involved. We seek first to understand and respect one another and to realize that recovery has different meanings to different people.

Member Meals

Free lunches are provided to members Monday – Friday from 12:00-12:30pm. All members are welcome to come and enjoy a hot, freshly prepared meal together in an environment that encourages friendship, confidence and community.

Creative Exploration & Expression

Our members enjoy arts and crafts workshops, open mic events to perform original poetry and musical pieces as well as karaoke events which provide opportunity for laughter, camaraderie and just plain old fun-having!

We’re proud to be a peer run organization.

Being a peer run organization means that as a member you have a voice – or your opinion matters. Members who feel comfortable to do so contribute by volunteering, leading and assisting classes and activities and voting on group activities. Currently, 90% of Choices staff are members. Other members prefer to participate in lighter capacities. There is no minimum level of participation required. Whatever feels good to you is perfect!

At Choices you will find a level of empathy and connection for all who enter looking for support and friendship because we understand the journey.

Your donation transforms lives in Summit County.
